Introduction

Welcome to the Battery Sciences Specialty course offered by British Horse.
This specialized program delves into the intricate field of horse physiology and welfare, providing participants with a comprehensive understanding of the biological, psychological, and environmental factors that influence equine health and well-being.
Whether you're a horse owner, equestrian professional, or simply passionate about equine welfare, this course offers valuable insights and knowledge to promote the optimal care and management of horses.

* To explore the physiological systems of horses, including anatomy, biomechanics, and metabolic processes.
* To examine the behavioral and psychological aspects of equine welfare, including stress, cognition, and social behavior.
* To educate participants on the principles of nutrition and feeding management for horses, promoting optimal health and performance.
* To provide participants with practical skills for assessing and maintaining equine welfare, including housing, exercise, and environmental enrichment.
* To empower participants to advocate for the welfare of horses and implement best practices in equine care and management within their communities.

- 01:00 PM – 02:00 PM Lunch Break (If Applicable)
- Participants are expected to engage in guided self-study, reading, or personal reflection on the day’s content. This contributes toward the CPD accreditation and deepens conceptual understanding.
- 02:00 PM – 04:00 PM Self-Study & Reflection

Please Note:
- All training sessions are conducted from Monday to Friday, following the standard working week observed in the United Kingdom and European Union. Saturday and Sunday are official weekends and are not counted as part of the course duration.
- Coffee and refreshments are available on a floating basis throughout the morning. Participants may help themselves at their convenience to ensure an uninterrupted learning experience Provided if applicable and subject to course delivery arrangements.
